Ecumenical Prayer Vigil for the first 10 days of Lent, outside Parliament

CTiW was invited to join Churches Together in South London in a Lenten Vigil outside Parliament. This was an opportunity for Christians to stand together, pray and be more visible and vocal in the public sphere about the plight of our neighbour and all of creation in the context of the climate crisis. A coalition of Christian NGOs organised the vigil: Christian Aid, Tearfund, CAFOD, Christian Climate Action, A Rocha, Operation Noah, Salvation Army and Green Christian. More details are here.

The vigil began at 2.30pm on Ash Wednesday, 14th February with an ecumenical service at St John’s Church, Waterloo, and concluded with a service outside Downing Street at 3pm on Saturday 24th February.
