Founded in 1694, the congregation of St Mary-le-Savoy is the second oldest German-language church congregation in Great Britain. In the 1990s, this congregation was amalgamated with the congregation of St George, after the latter had relinquished its building (the oldest German church in Great Britain still standing) see https://www.visitchurches.org.uk/  Over the centuries, the congregation of St Mary’s has had a variety of homes.

Today, you find the church of St Mary with St George very close to St Pancras and Kings Cross stations, at no. 10 Sandwich Street. From the front door at street level, a wide staircase leads down to the attractively designed worship space. Church services take place here on the second, third and fourth Sunday of each month. Holy Communion is an integral part of every service. On the third Sunday of each month, the Children’s Church is offered alongside the main service. A few times every year, on a Friday evening, we celebrate a special service oriented around music – singing in particular.
