We are a parish of the Church of England in the heart of London.

We welcome all, believing that God’s love in Christ is for all people.

As a parish community:

  • We offer worship that inspires
  • We grow in discipleship of Jesus Christ
  • We are a Church in the World, committed to the transformation of the world

We look forward to welcoming you here soon.

St. Peter’s seeks to witness to the Good News of God in Jesus Christ within a varied and diverse community through its worship, organisations and activities. Worship is celebrated with all the traditional elements of ceremonial, but in a modern, simplified manner. Our Sunday worship ranges from a traditional Book of Common Prayer service at 8.15 am, to a more informal Family Eucharist at 10 am and a more formal 11.15 am Sung Eucharist with choir.

Parish History

The Church was built in 1827, and extended in 1872. It was founded to meet the needs of the new houses being built by the Grosvenor family. In 1987, the interior of the church was destroyed by fire and what you now see as you enter our church is the rebuilt interior within the original walls. The new church occupies the space of the original Georgian church of 1827, and the Victorian extensions have been converted to a church hall, offices and staff accommodation.

Current Projects

The parish is undertaking several projects to celebrate and commemorate the Millennium Year 2000 AD, including the provision of a well to provide drinking water to a village in Burkina-Faso, and the provision of new hymn books for the Diocese of Karamojo, Uganda.

Youth Organisations

St. Peter’s has various groups for young people.
